Today I along wih a member of my writers' critique group attended the 10th Annual CityLit Festival in Baltimore. This was a celebration of the literary arts in Baltimore and we had a lot of fun. First, we browsed rows of authors and their works and then attended a discussion panel with Ariel S. Winter, Art Taylor and Brian Lindenmuth on the "Mysterious Adaptation: Noir From Novels to the Movies." This was very interesting as they talked about the elements of what makes for a good adapation. Some of the adapations they mentioned were:
1. The Postman Always Ring Twice.
2. L.A. Confidential.
When this discussion group ended, it was time for Allegra Bennett to talk about "How to Become A Bestselling Self-Publishied Digital and Print Author." She gave great information and tips on how to do just that. Her book will be coming out on May 15, 2013 - look out for it!
It was a great day and I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that my novel, Gotta Let It Go, is now part of the Enoch Pratt Library catalog- WOW!! Indeed it was a great day :-)
Here are some pics from the event!
