"Summer, Summer, Summer Time"

Friday, June 21, 2013 marked the first day of Summer and boy did I hit the pavement running. Friday night I hung out with a good friend of mine to celebrate her birthday. It was great to catch up and enjoy some drinks and a good meal at the Stanford Grill. The waiters were friendly and we even got some free birthday cake to boot. Saturday, I hung out with some of my law school buddies at McLoone's Pier Seafood Restaurant at the National Harbor. It was such a beautiful day and the strawberry daiquiris were so, so, delicious! If that wasn't enough, on Sunday, I met with the Creatures, Crimes and Creativity team at Panera Bread in Bowie to plan the C3 3-day upcoming conference in Baltimore, MD - September  13 - 15, 2013. So if you're a mystery, suspense, horror, sci-fi author or fan, this is the place you want to be! For more information, check out www.creaturescrimesandcreativity.com . Hope to see ya there!

"The HOTSPOT - Ward 8 Book Festival"

Yesterday, I had a great time at the HOTSPOT - Ward 8 Book Festival in Washington, DC. This event was presented by Lamont Carey and Councilman Marion Barry to promote literacy within the community. Although the heat was upon us authors, we networked, sold some books, made new friends, laughed, chatted with readers, and even swayed to the music! Here are some pics from the event.
