Women’s History Month’s Feature: Arundhati Roy, Writer, Essayist, Screenwriter, and Political Activist
Hello book lovers! In celebration of Women’s History Month, I would like to present to you, writer, essayist, screenwriter, and political activist, Arundhati Roy. In 1997, she won the Booker Prize for Fiction for her first novel, The God of Small Things. It was also listed as one of The New York Times Notable Books of the Year and reached fourth position on The New York Times Bestsellers list for Independent Fiction. In her early career, she wrote screenplays for In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones (1989) and Electric Moon (1992).
