Women’s History Month’s Feature: Anne Rice, Horror Fiction, Christian Literature, and Erotic Literature Author
Hello book
lovers! In celebration of Women’s History Month, I would like to present to
you, best-selling horror fiction, Christian literature and erotic
literature author, Anne Rice. She has written over thirty novels. However, she
is best known for her horror fiction novel series – The Vampire
Chronicles and The Lives of the Mayfair Witches. She has won the
Bram Stoker Award for Lifetime Achievement Award (2003) as well as the World
Horror Convention Grand Master Award (1994).
Some of her
books have been adapted and made into movies and miniseries. My favorites being
Interview with the Vampire and The Queen of the Damned. In 2020,
AMC Networks acquired the rights to Rice’s major book series: The Vampire
Chronicles and The Lives of the Mayfair Witches. This acquisition totals
18 titles which have sold more than 150 million copies. I look forward to seeing what projects AMC develops.
WRITING TIP: When writing horror fiction remember to tap into the fear factor whether it is psychological, gut wrenching, chilling settings or all out dread with high stakes, interesting characters, and a good storyline.
