On Saturday, August 17, 2019, I participated in the Local Author's Day at Barnes & Noble at Columbia Mall in Columbia, MD. After setting up my display, I enjoyed a slice of spinach quiche and some ice tea from the café. It was just what I needed to prepare for my day (11 am - 4 pm) hanging out with avid readers and networking with some wonderful authors who write fiction and non-fiction books.
The time went by quickly with folks from the Black Writers' Guild, mentoring program where I am a mentor liaison, fellow author friends and family. I laughed, took photos, sold and signed some books and had a lovely afternoon.
When it was all over, I grabbed dinner with some of my friends at Urban Plates. It always feels good to enjoy a good meal and great conversations.
